Rambling On.
My name is Lisa Baker-Richardson and I live in a small village in West Hampshire.
Although I’m interested in all aspects of Nature Photography, I mainly specialize in macro work, concentrating firstly on Butterflies. I have always lived in the country side, and having a Father who was born in the New Forest, who then worked on the River Test for 25yrs, meant that I grew up seeing a wide range of flora and fauna. And having 8 generations of the family living in the forest, accounts for the fondness I have for the area, which reflects in some of the images shown. As a child, I’d catch a glimpse of a Water Vole, see the green, blue, iridescent flash of the Kingfisher whizzing by, and watch the sun glisten on the flow of the chalk-streams, all whilst leaning over a bridge catching sticklebacks and inspecting them in a jar – placing them back of course! Things like these were everyday sightings and all taken for granted, but it wasn’t until many years later, that I actually realized just how wonderful nature is, and I hope to capture as many of those moments I can, through the lens of my camera!
